Information design is the discipline of taking seemingly random and incoherent data and transforming it into useful, compelling, and comprehensive information. Information designers work for the users and with the users to ensure that the designed product works for them.

Furthermore, information designers use both of their left and right brain; combining the creative and artistic capabilities of the right brain with the technical and analytical problem solving capabilities of the left brain. They use it in synthesis to analyse data as well as reconstruct them into information in creative and visually appealing ways.
