About the Project
Opportunity
University of Calgary's Graduate Student Association approached Full Blast Creative because they were looking for a web rebuild. They wanted to be able to tap into the capabilities of WordPress; being able to archive posts, set up a ticketing system for events, and be able to easily update and create pages using a simple and intuitive web builder. Furthermore, they recognize that most of the users on their site are students and must; therefore, require the website to be mobile responsive and mobile-friendly.
The GSA site was a multi-page website and our clients required that we apply their brand elements into the design and stylistics of the website - this included the GSA logo colors. We not only incorporated the colors as a design element, but also as a user-experience system which helps the user recognize and distinguish sections and thoughts within a webpage. Simply put, we used the GSA colors as a color coding system.
We also provided a number of WordPress training sessions to our clients so they may be able to edit or create new pages on their own. They have been updating their own website since, but they still ask us for help occasionally.
